This guy sounds like a real winner, putting a lawn mower motor in a recliner.

But hey, it's a motor vehicle. He should have gotten charged with some other things as well.

He still could have killed or hurt someone. Glad it was taken seriously.

I am familiar with this case. Unfortunately, the press release was mostly to drum up bids on the auctioning of the 'chair' - I have seen it, it is actually just plywood.
