AZ DUI Charges not filed?!?!?!What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona I was arrested for an aggravated DUI and released into pretrial services (adult probation). I go to check in with them and they tell me that I am no longer under their supervision because the county attorney did not file the charges within 48 hours of the incident. Therefore I do not have to appear at my pretrial hearing? Is that correct. They said all I must do is make sure the courts have my correct address because there is a 7 year statute of limitations in which they can file. |

| You don't have to be under supervision, but you better make sure that charges aren't filed before the next appearance date. Don't expect that the charges aren't forthcoming. I'd might consult a lawyer now, you'll need one anyhow. There may be actions you need to pursue with the DMV even before charges are filed. |
