Red face

In a bottomless hole

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.
Several months ago I recieved my first dui. Shortly after my father lost his job, so I became the bread winner in a fimily of six. I work at a grocery store! Soon after I drove to work and just my luck i got our only car taken away at a checkpoint for driving on a suspended. I was just heading home from work!! Work is the only place i go! Anyways, in order to get the car out I paid 200 to the police depo and 400 to the towing place and singed a 5 year contract that stated car would be sold if taken again. It got sold. I have to pay 2000 for the dui, 1200 for dui school, 1900 for driving on a suspended and was arrested on saturday for violation of my probation. It was maybe because of unpaid court bills because i have no money, or not showing up or paying for dui classes because i have no car or money. I posted bail to get out of jail with no money because i would lose my job and now i owe 1100 to the bail out place....court tomorrow 9am...what should i expect? death penalty? I dnt know what to do I SHOULD JUST END MYSELF!!!!! I cant support my family while giving the little money i make to the law...And just incase your curious i was sleeping in my car when i got the dui. keys were in the ignition, I was trying not to break the law and never have now i am a criminal because i am to poor to not afford to be!!!!

You are not a criminal because you are poor. You are a criminal because you broke the law over and over and over again.

Stop with the pity party. Get your act together. Take the bus to work, pay your bills and do what the court tells you to do.

You said you have never broken the law but you have two dui's. There are many people in this world that live productive lives without cars - you can do the same. Instead of spending what little money you have on alcohol, give what you can to the courts every month. A small payment is better than no payment at all. Good luck!

When you fall into a bottomless pit, you die of starvation.

The court will allow you to do community service in lieu of paying the fines.
That would save you about 3900.

You still have to pay for the dui classes (unless you elected to do straight jail time for everything when you appeared in court. You won't have a license, but you won't have dui classes or fines, either. About 40 days in county jail may have cured your PV & most of your financial problems (not the dl problem)).
