can i have my DUI charges dropped?

What is the name of your state? Connecticut

Last week i went to a bar down the street and drank 4 beers in 4 hours. I wanted to go home, so I finished my last beer quickly and left.
The police followed me out of the bar, and pulled me over for an expired registration sticker and smelled the beer on my breath. He insisted I go to the station with him and made me take a breathalizer right away, which had me at .091 BAC.
I have no previous charges. No accidents, no tickets, completely clean. and i have witnesses that can say I only had 4 beers. I followed the one drink per hour rule. Is there anything I can do? my court date is October 29th.

thanks,
Melanie

How big were the beers? And how big are you? Four 12 oz. beers in 4 hours is not likely to produce a .09 BAC ... I would expect about .05 unless you were extremely thirsty (dehydrated), had no food, and were small framed.

Your best bet would be to engage an attorney specializing in DUI defense. Barring that, you need at least AN attorney to give you some guidance as to what might happen asa result of a guilty plea ... or needed to fight the charge.

Yeah, that's scary. I'm 6'1 and and weight about 185 pounds, and I'm figuring that three beers over three hours wouldn't be any issue (as in .04 or under)

Been there before

I live in NJ and have gotten an DUI. I was pulled over at a check point.
I had (and still have) a clean driving record and no criminal record. When it comes to driving under the influence, the court system does not care about how much of a model citizen you are. I did have a lawyer but there was no way i was going to get off. It's tuff.
Just pay your fine, do the time and chalk it up to experience. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!
I learned my lesson the hard way but it was probably worth it.
Good luck..and don't feel like you a criminal...you just screwed up
