You absolutely need a lawyer. Without injuries you're probably looking a big fine and community service and alcohol classes.

You are absolutely going to lose your CDL for a YEAR.

Yeah, you totally need a lawyer. If you don't get this down to at least an inattentive driving you're going to be uninsurable. A wreckless driving is the same as a DUI conviction for a CDL, so if the prosecutor offers you that because it's your first offense you probably can't take it because it would be the same. I doubt the prosecutor is going to offer you much, even though it's your first, because you laid the truck down.

Get a lawyer and get an alcohol evaluation done immediately, your lawyer will know who to get it through. You want that in hand at your pre-trial (as long as it says you are not a risk to continue being a moron and driving a commercial vehicle while intoxicated). Another thing, some states have an administrative process in addition to the criminal one.

Did the officer play you some tape about a license suspension while you waited for your breath test? If so, you really have to get a lawyer because you only have a few days to request a hearing on those, to try and avoid the suspension of your license.

A few work-project days, a big fine, several-months' license suspension, several-months' alcohol classes, boost in your car insurance.

Your big problem is that you are unlikely to be employed as a commercial driver for the next few years with a DUI or reckless on your record. You need to decide whether to spend big bucks to take this to a jury, or spend the same bucks for welding school, or other preparation for an alternative career.

Spelling check is your very BFF.

I am amused by the purposeful downplaying of the type of accident by using the phrase "just layed truck on side"
