What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN

I see lawyers that are $700 and others that require $3,000 upfront. Does anyone know the difference in these? Do I have a better shot at getting my DUI reduced with a $3,000 lawyer? I'm not sure if the $3,000 lawyers are DUI specific and the $700+ are just regular. Anyone know?

Also would I be better off getting a lawyer in the county that I got pulled over in hopes that he may know the judge or would that not help? I wouldn't think it would help but I know someone who paid $750 and got her DUI reduced but the lawyer was friends with the judge.
