Disorderly intoxication and Canadian CitizenWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Non- US resident Okay so last year on independence day in Miami, I was at a hotel pool party and I got a little too drunk and cops got me for disorderly intoxication. I spent a day and a half in jail before I could see the judge. I pleaded no contest and he gave me a "witholding adjunication" line, and I was let go right there. I haven't tried to visit the US since then and I was thinking of going to California but was wondering if this charge can stop me from entering again? |

| Sorry, I should add that I'm from Canada... |

| Unless your withheld adjudication had any stipulations that you missed, the thing most likely will just go away. You're not likely to have any problems getting into the US even with a conviction, in that one aspect our border people aren't as obnoxious as yours are.

| Thanks a lot. I should add this was my first charge ever in any country I've been to. I've never gotten a charge even here in my home country. Needless to say my vacation was ruined and I'm just doing mad research on California law now to avoid this scenerio again... |

| No I don't! But I don't wanna assume the laws are the same as it is here and not think i'm doing something else wrong and then bam all of a sudden I'm back in jail. Are you and Flying Ron lawyers? |
