Do Warrants Expire? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Missouri Hey to all out there. My first time being here, and hoping someone can shed some light on something Im unfamiliar with. My question is about a DWI warrant (my ex husbands) ... this was from years ago in the state of Missouri, and he now lives in Florida. He wants to move back to Missouri, but hasn't as yet because of this old warrant. He was supposed to have gone to court, but didn't and it's been at least 12 years ago. Someone told me that warrants expire, and his is probably expired by now. Is there any truth to that, if anyone knows? Thanks so much for any feeback!!! |

| To the best of my knowledge and experience, working for 5 years as a law enforcement dispatcher, (and having to enter warrants,) that is untrue. He needs to get it cleared up and deal with it. If the county it was issued in has a clerk of courts website, try it. Do a name search on him, and depending on how far the site goes back (some go back a long way), it may show up. Also, though, some areas will let them "expire" if they are misdem., others may not. Good luck.

| Thank you so much .... I will try and see if I can find anymore info by looking for the Clerk of courts in that county. I've been trying for days to find out any info on this, and for some reason I can't seem to find much info for the state of Missouri. I appreciate your response! Thank you! Vickie |
