Drinking on the HighwayWhat is the name of your state? Arkansas This is just a personal question I've been wondering about and after searching on the internet for about an hour, I couldn't even find this charge anywhere. Anyway my question is when a person is charged with drinking on the highway, is it a misdemnor or a traffic ticket or just a sin?? I've never been charged with it, I just wondered what it exactly is on your record when you are charged and found guilty with drinking on the highway... Thanks for the help. Just curious. ![]() |

| It's a class C misdemeanor. Max penalites 30 days or $100. Just be lucky it wasn't operating while intoxicated. Arkansas appears to have some of the toughest statutes (no pleading down, no diversion) I've seen. |

| Thank you!! I know, Arkansas is very strict on drinking and driving (which is a good thing!) |
