Driving outside privilages

What is the name of your state? Ohio

Hi everyone. I got a DUI conviction last September, and after the mandatory 15 day suspension, got driving privilages for work and school. The suspension is actually almost up, and it's been smooth ever since.

The problem is this: I was pulled over today for going straight when I was actually in a right-turn only lane at a funny-looking 5-way intersection. The legal issues are these:

The lane mistake.
Expired tags (I wasn't sure if I could even renew them without a liscense! stupid, I know, but it's too late now)
Driving outside of my driving priviliges. I was on my way home from picking up my younger sister from an extracirricular activity, which is not allowed under the privilages.

I was wondering what you guys think I'm looking at here. If I'm not mistaken, the worst case is that I get three days. I also think my car has to be immobilized for 30 days or something - I was pretty nervous when the officer was explaining it to me, so I'm not quite sure. I suppose it's possible that the judge just let it go because the suspension is nearly up, the nature of the privilige violation is pretty tame, and everything else in my life is very "upstanding citizen"-ish. Or, s/he could extend my suspension, take my priviliges, etc... probably any one of a number of things. I'll call my lawyer tomorrow and get the lowdown, but for now, I'd like to hear what you guys think.

thanks!

Driving on suspended license

You will have to go back before the judge regarding your occupation license. You should be able to get it reinstated upon paying a fine.

I doubt I'll get the three days, but a less realistic hope is that I can still get my license back fully on the original date. The judge didn't throw the book at me when I was sentenced for the original crime, so that's a good or at the very least, not a bad sign! I might not get the same judge again but... ah, oh well. Time will tell.
