Driving on restricted license

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA

Husband got DUI in October 2007. Went to court and judge gave him a restricted license for work only. Got stopped at DUI checkpoint and now has to go to court for driving with restriced license. If they tell him that they are suspending his license for an additional 90 days, does that usually happen after his restriced license are up, or does it go along with the restriced license. What else can they do besides suspending his license?

**A: judge can suspend his license effective immediately. What else can they do? Well, they can revoke his license.

Not only can they do this, but they can do worse. The judges in the Fairfax GDC inform defendants that violation of the restrictions can result in the suspended jail sentence being restored, etc..
