Driving Under Suspension with valid out of state license

What is the name of your state? PA

Hello,

I am currently enrolled in the ARD program in PA and my license is suspended for a DUI. I still have my valid WI license and got pulled over. The officer pulled me over for no reason and gave me a ticket for driving with a suspended license, the was no drinking, speeding or anything else involved.

Anybody have an idea what my sentence could be in the best and worst scenario?

The officer has to have reasonable suspicion of criminal activity or probable cause to stop you. I expect that he'll be able to provide that if you go to court.

Each state can suspend a person's privledge to drive in their state regardless of whether or not you're licensed in another state. So if Pennsylvania suspended your priveldge to drive, and you were stopped there, your Wisconsin license is irrelevant.

If this occured during your probation, you will be in violation. When your license is suspended in one state, that includes any and all licenses.

How can you have a license in more than one state. I thought you had to be resident of state to get license in that state. Additionally I (maybe mistakenly) believe that Mi. (my state) required one to relinquish another states license to get one in Mi.

you'll most likely have your license suspended for longer, have more fines, and more probation time.
i would consider using local transportation if you ever want to have your license back.

You will be required to surrender your out-of-state driver’s license (valid or expired six months or less) before PennDOT can issue you a PA Driver's License.
You do not have a valid license.
