Driving while suspended for DUI

What is the name of your state? CA

I was wondering if anyone has had experience or might know if a Driving while suspended for a DUI will carry any jail time. I know the law states that its 10 days mandatory and no more than 6 months and a pretty hefty fine. My arraignment is on 9/28 and I preparing myself if jail time is the "norm" for this violation. Thanks you in advance.

Pack a toothbrush, and take lots of cash to court.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Thank you for the link, it is much appreciated. I hope my judge is as lenient as his was.

I feel like a total ass for waiting this long to take the necessary steps to reinstate my license. I have already paid for the DUI program and am starting my classes next week so I hope that plays a role in my judges leniency. I am not on probation like this gentlemen in the link was, and my dui was about 5 years ago. I also can't afford a lawyer so if my arraignment offer for judgement is a bad one, I will have to settle for a public defender. I pray to god I am let off with a easy punishment. I have learned my lesson on driving drunk but I guess I had'nt learned in driving with a reinstated license(lesson learned now!). Thanks again for your guys' help, all responses are welcome.

California

I just wanted to post the outcome for any future inquiries. I was sentenced to 10 days weekend work program, a $500 fine, and 18 months formal probation. My case was pretty open and shut. I plead guilty and took the arraignment offer. Thanks for the insight.
