dui 07-18,forgot ticket signatureWhat is the name of your state? California My 17 year old son was stopped by Sheriff for tail light out. They smelled alcohol and called H.W.Patrol. They breathalized and took to facility to do second breathalizer. They brought him home and released to me. 12 days later Highway Patrol called and said they forgot to have him sign ticket. They brought to house and he signed after the fact....there was no mention of violation for tail light and he wasn't finger printed at station. |

| Your son should not sign a ticket after 12 days because he might have a chance to fight in the court. |

| In many states, refusal to sign the citation may result in being physically arrested. Don't listen to those here who obviously have no idea what they speak of.

| Also in many states simply signing the citation/ticket is only acknowledging receipt of the ticket/citation. |
