dui

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

My partner received, I believe, his third DUI 8 years ago. He went to the preliminary hearing and they scheduled a court date, which he never went to. There was a warrent out for his arrest. We have heard nothing for the past two years. Is there such a thing as statute of limitations or will this be with him forever? What would the approximate penalty be if they do get him?

My response:

The SOL is two years. He's okay.

No, he is not "safe" from this warrant. It will stay with him until he faces the music. Right now, he can prepare, get things in order and take it on his terms. Wait, and face arrest at the worst time.
