Dui ++What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD Curious if anyone knows what is the penalty possibly could be for 2 DUI/DWI's, within about 15 months of each other? And a new separate assault second degree w/probable cause last month? (its not me! ) |

| DWI and DUI are distinct offenses in MD. DUI: 1st offense, up to a year in jail $1000, 45 day minimum suspension 2nd offense, up to two years in jail, $2000, 1 year minimum suspension DWI: 1st offense, up to 2 months $500, up to 60 days suspension 2nd offense, up to 1 year, $500, 60 days minimum suspension. Note no MANDATORY jail/fines in MD. In addition you'll be assessed a whole whopping amount of points which will no doubt further suspend your license. Note that if the license was still suspended on the second DWI/DUI there is going to be more charges. Second degree assault is a 2nd degree felony, up to 10 years and $5000

| Until the prosecution complains or the judge gets sick of it.
