DUI 7 months ago...

What is the name of your state? WI resident, DUI in PA

I was pulled over for driving under the influence in September 2007 in Pennsylvania. (I am a Wisconsin resident and was in town visiting a friend). I failed the roadside test and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. The officer took me back to my hotel and told me I would receive information on the mail regarding the charges.

About a month later, I received a bill from the hospital re: payment on the blood draw. I paid that within a few days and sent it off. That is the last I have heard about anything regarding this situation.

So, my question is, is there anything I should be doing besides waiting for something to come in the mail? What I did was wrong, I know that, and I am ready to face the consequences. I would just hate for something to have been lost in the mail and be in more trouble... I guess I just don't know how long it usually takes to receive the information.

Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't do anything. They'll send it when they send it. Keep in mind that the government is free to screw up. The citizen is not. So, you may not get anything on this for 20 years and then get a "suprize" in the mail.

If you gave them your correct address information, you have what you need to demonstrate you're not not trying to avoid the court. The government makes mistakes with documents all the time. Let them figure it out. That's my opinion. That's not legal advice. If you're really concerned, contact and attorney and use the free initial consultation to get a feel for the best way to handle it.

ECR520 have you gotten anything yet?

ECR520 have you gotten anything yet? My wife is in the same circumstances as you are. She was told she would get a letter in 5 days and nothing yet, I can't imaging waiting 7 months. How much was the bill for the blood draw...can you turn it into your insurance?
