DUI Charge for Falling AsleepWhat is the name of your state? CT Work long hours/physical job, was driving home and fell completely asleep at the wheel-no alcohol. Crashed into guard rail and spun to a stop-no one hurt, no one else involved thankfully. Arrested me for DUI & failure to drive in proper lane. I would not submit to tests, as I've heard that's the worst thing you can do b/c of inaccuracy of the tests. Realize I lose license now as result. Any thoughts on how to proceed? Thank you. |

| Hire an attorney asap. You have screwed up enough already.

BigMistakeFlThe only reason a person would refuse to take the breath tests is if he or she was concerned that he or she would test positive. And that's not because he or she thinks the test might be faulty. I'd love to get a routine stop today and be asked to take the test. It'd be great to be sober and try it! I might remember it this time, and since I'd be completely sober, I'd have nothing to worry about. |
