What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Hello, I got a DUI last weekend; However I start an internship at a university in about 3-4 weeks. Do I have any chance of getting a restricted license before then (since obviously the suspension period has yet to be finished by that time)? I believe I will have to use my license at some point for school registration, will a restricted license solve that for me? I really appreciate your help.

I had a regular license at the time of my arrest, yes;

I'm sure there are other forms of ID the school with accept. Not all students have a drivers license. Get a CA identification card at the DMV.
