I was pulled over for having a BAC over .01 and I was under the age of 21. So, I didn't get a DUI, but the officer took my license and told me it would be suspended for a year because of the not tolerance policy.

My goal by going to court is to retain my license either through appealing the citation VC23136, or applying for a critical need provisional license through the assistance of an attorney

I've never used an attorney before so my question basically is

how much is this going to cost me?

It will probably 'cost' you:
1) Whatever the attorney fees are, plus
2) Whatever fine and costs the court decides, plus
3) Whatever surcharge your insurance company hits you with, plus
4) Probation costs, plus
5) Whatever it costs you to find alternate transportation while your license is suspended, plus
6) Any other costs you might incur.

Accept the fact that this is going to be VERY expensive.
