DUI License Question

What is the name of your state? CA

Hello, I have just finished my final court date and my lawyer got one charged drop, but I was still convicted on 1 count. By the time all this was finished my 4 month suspension from the DMV has ended at the same time. One of the orders by the courts was for me to have a restriction on my license. I can only going to work/program, etc. for 90 day. So does this mean I can go get my License (the actual Lisense-CARD) from the DMV but have to wait 90 days till I can drive with out any restrictions or Does this mean I can not get my actual License for 90 days and then after I can go get my License? Additional Info.- I was over 21 when DUI happend and I have already got my SR-22 Insurance. Thank You

Go to DMV and ask for your DL to be reissued. (make sure that you have or can, provide proof to DMV of completion of alc program & SR-22).

If the Court sent a notice to DMV regarding the 90 day restriction, DMV should issue a license with that restriction (if a cop runs your DMV, the restriction will show. Your DL will appear normal).

The courts are way behind in advising DMV of restrictions and, sometimes, never advise DMV. (Just stay in compliance with the Court's order.)

IF DMV shows the Court's restriction (surprise, surprise), then be sure to check back with DMV after the 90 days to ensure the restriction was removed from your DL. Good Luck.
