DUI in one state, moving to another

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

Hi, I received an OWI in Indiana. This is a first time offense, no prior arrests. I just moved to TN, 3 weeks before I received it. While I was back in Indiana, I received the OWI. My license has not been suspended by the state of Indiana and I was wandering if I should apply for a TN license yet. By law, I had 30 days to get my license in TN so the Indiana license was valid although I had just moved. My lawyer suggested I contact the DMV in TN to make sure no additional penalties would occur as Indiana will definitely suspend my license for 30 days (when it gets processed at the DMV. When I did they said no, but I'm hesitant to just believe any clerk I speak with.

I understand that in Indiana, I will most likely receive a 30 day suspension and 6 months probationary license, but I want to make sure that TN doesn't give me a longer probationary or an additional suspension.

Any advice?

You may find that TN will not issue you any sort of license during your probationary period in IN.
