DUI in PA with MD drivers license

What is the name of your state? Maryland and Pennsylvania

Recently I was arrested for DUI in PA, but I have a MD drivers license. I was wondering if anyone has any idea about what I am facing. I am getting a laywer and will obviously do whatever I have to do to get through this. I understand that I am probably facing some sort of suspension of my license, fines, community service, and know that my insurance will go up for a while. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into this situation because I dont know how being an out-of-state driver will effect my situation. I've tried to search online but havent found anything that addresses this specifically. I've heard about ARD as a few people I know have had DUI's in the recent past. I dont know if I qaulify for this as a non-resident. I also am unsure if any of the punishment, such as community service or alcohol classes will be transferred to a location closer to my permanent address. I am curious about this becuase if I do qualify and am accepted to ARD will I have to find rides to PA to complete this until my suspension is up? I am confused and I'm sure as soon as I get a laywer, he/she will be able to help answer these questions, but in the mean-time I was just doing some research for myself. My liscense is from NY. I got arrested for DUI(2) (BAC<.16). I got a lawyer and then did the ARD program. Yes you are able to participate if you are out of state.

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to show up again at least 2 more times. You will have to meet with probation, and may have to go throug alcohol counseling.

Get a lawyer if you want. Although, I'm not sure how much they would add. Plus it's another $1,000.

Your insurance goes up for 10 years! As for your liscense suspension, you will get suspended from driving in PA, but any suspension from your state will depend on its DMV rules for suspensions from other states.
