What is the name of your state? NC

Received suspended license in VA in 3/2007 for second dui in three years. Am living in NC but am not driving.

VA did not confiscate my license, an error on their part I think. Is there a way to obtain a valid NC license.

I have no fines, warrants, or charges pending.

Just because the VA didn't grab your physical license doesn't mean it's not suspended. Guaranteed if you are stopped by the police (even in NC) and show that license, they will immediately find out.

In addition to the other two responses, you will also be required to clear up the suspension mess in VA (pay the reinstatement fee when eligible) BEFORE North Carolina will issue you a drivers license.
