dui vilotaion in california/ohio

What is the name of your state? Calfornia. Husband got Dui in 1998 just out of Marines. Resident of Ohio. Cameback to family after losing first "civilian" job in California. Failed to complete Dui class and sentence of ! day in Jail. Never been in trouble before or since. Contacted California on own because does not want this "hanging". hired lawyer, bench warrant recalled. Lawyer says will have to pay original fine (understandable) and 10 days in jail. Lawyers says can serve time in Ohio. Found jail in Ohio "pay to stay" for DUI offenders. do you think will get 10 days and will judge showmercy because #1 age and situation at time of occurence, uostanding citizen now, came forth on own and hired attorney, will pay fine in full immediatly..oh and is flying to California from Ohio instead of having lawyer appear, outcome please??? tried to put facts only, basically husband has great job here that he does not want to lose because has family but understands needs to serve time.

thanks
