DUI that won't go away

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Louisiana 2nd dui .first one in January 05. Finished everything on that. Received another when stopped for a headlight that was suppose to be out and wasn't. That was last September of 07. Have not even been to court as of yet because of their incompetence. Not sure the statute of limitation. How long can they keep you in limbo? I am due to go on October 31 of this year. Every other one has been postponed .

Statute of Limitations does not apply here. You were charged. Were you arraigned? If you want to move things along you can move for a speedy trial.
