DWAI from NY to NCWhat is the name of your state? NY Does a DWAI (NOT DWI) in NY get transferred to NC? I do not see an equivalant offense in NC. It was a first offense, and I have no prior record. Also, it is my understanding that a DWAI is a traffic offense, similar to reckless driving, and does not show up on one's criminal record, is this accurate? |

| The only difference I can see from the website I've attached is the amount of alcohol involved (in NY, DWAI involves a BAC level of between .05-.07). It is still considered driving while intoxicated, just different terminology. From what I've learned on this website, all DUI, DWAI cases follow you from state-to-state.
