What is the name of your state? Minnesota
Our daughter, Emily age 21, recently was in a single car accident and received a DWI. Her friend received a slight injury to her foot. We received a notice from the County for a court appearance for this incident. According to the information they sent to us she is facing 5 counts;
3 counts for Criminal Vehicular Operation and 2 counts of Driving under the influence of Alcohol/Concentration. Her count was .19 at the Hospital.

Can you give us some idea of what she might be facing in terms of sentencing for her first occurrence? What kind of expense will she incur? We are devastated at the thought of the cost and repercussions of this upon our daughter. What you would suggest as our next steps for her?

Take the car away from her. Make her attend AA. Be extremely glad she did not cause more damage.
