Excessive DUI Incarceration

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania

My boyfriend has been in jail for a first offense DUI since the end of January. He had 2 detainers, one of which has been settled, the other is unpaid fees/fines in another state. Are there civil rights violations that exist in this case? I spoke to a local attorney who said that that the amount of time he has spent so far is unheard of.

Without a heck of a lot more details we can't answer you. What has he been convicted of? What were the two detainers?

Come back and fill in all the blanks. Don't leave anything out; remember, this forum is totally anonymous. You have nothing to gain by omitting anything and you stand a better chance of getting reliable free advice by spilling everything.
