Fight it or take the plea? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Arizona Earlier this year I was driving home from a city about 1hr away from home. I was driving a friends car because he had a DUI. We went through a border patrol checkpoint. One agent was checkin cars as they went through and his dog started barking at our car because my friend smoked pot in it pretty regularly. We pulled over for a secondary search and my friend gave them the the few grams of pot he had on him and his pipe. They continued to search the car and found a bong in a bag, which I claimed. A highway patrol officer passed by and stopped to help the agents. He asked, "When was the last time you smoked?", I replied "Last night around 2am." Which was probably about 19 hours before. After I said this he asked me to take a field sobriety test, which I thought I passed easily. He told me I was under arrest and was going with him to take a piss test at the station. After the test, I was released to some friends and was given my license. When the officer asked me if I smoked, I was not free to go, and I unknowingly incriminated myself. The officer knew that I had drugs in my system and he lied in the police reports to make it look like I was not sober. Luckily the border patrol report contradicts some of what the officer says. Also when I recieved the police report I read multipile lies about what happend that evening. I have the option of pleaing to a lesser charge, an A1, and being fined $500, 1 day in jail and an increase on my insurance. If I try and fight it I will be charge with the A1 and A3, fined $1700, 10 days in jail, lawyer fees, and the increase in insurance. comments, questions, and suggestions please |

My response: Okay, here's my "comment": I always think it's funny how criminals keep committing crimes and think they're smarter than the Authorities. Guess what? You're not. Now, your druggy habit is going to cost you even more than the price of the drugs themselves! Was it worth it? IAAL |

My response: Okay. Here's something you didn't know . . . You're an absolute idiot who doesn't learn, and who thinks he can "skirt the law" and not get caught. That's what criminals always think - - "Oh, I won't get caught!" Guess what? You were. Now, you get to spend lot's of money on an attorney, you get to pay court costs, you get to spend time behind bars anyway, you get to go to drug rehab, and then you get to spend about 3 years on probation. How's that? Now, I'll ask you one, last, time . . . Was it worth it? IAAL |

| My response: Did I say anything about NOT being able to defend yourself, and to have your "day in court"? No. I specifically mentioned the COSTS attendant with being arrested and defending yourself in court. Get off the drugs, and learn to read. IAAL Last edited by m martin; 10-19-2004 at 03:31 PM. |

| Hey, Idiot-stick. Did I say anything about NOT being able to defend yourself, and to have your "day in court"? No. I specifically mentioned the COSTS attendant with being arrested and defending yourself in court. Get off the drugs, idiot, and learn to read. Really, is that all that you wrote? Has your wrath clouded your memory? Let me hand the idiot stick back to ya. Here's what you wrote. I'm going to assume YOU can read. "Okay, here's my "comment": I always think it's funny how criminals keep committing crimes and think they're smarter than the Authorities. Guess what? You're not. Now, your druggy habit is going to cost you even more than the price of the drugs themselves! Was it worth it?" Careful who you address as idiot and who you accuse of taking drugs. None of your assumptions are correct. But your ilk always tosses out weak-minded insults. Typical. I've swam with bigger sharks than you, silly one. |

| I'll say it again, Idiot-Stick, because you can't understand English. Quote:
Point out ANYWHERE, in ANY of my statements or responses where I said that a druggy, like you, can't have their day in court. I'm only talking about the costs of criminals procedures versus the value of the drugs and being a decent, law-abiding, citizen. Do you understand concepts? Apparently not. Maybe that's why you're an Idiot-Stick. IAAL Last edited by I AM ALWAYS LIABLE; 10-19-2004 at 01:19 PM. |

My response: What's it going to take to keep your fried brain on track? You seem to wander all over the place (except for loving drunks and druggies), and you can't answer the issue that you accused me about; i.e., That I'm advocating that criminals aren't entitled to their day in court. Why won't you copy and paste something of mine to back up your own accusation of me? Try and use the few brain cells you have left in that pinhead of yours. IAAL |
