First DUI in CA

What is the name of your state? CA and NJ

Hi,
I had my first DUI in March in CA. I had a breath test result of .16 and blood test result of .18. Now, the DMV suspended my license for 4 months. Here is my probelm. I moved out of CA permanently to NJ so I can not take the DMV classes and can not apply for a restricted licence as it is only valid in CA. can I apply for a new licence in NJ after my suspension even I do not take Defensive driving classes in CA? My license also going to expire in July.
The other question I have is, before I come to CA I applied for a licence in NY. I got a learners permit that is valid for 5 years (expires 05/12/2006). Can I drive a car if somebody besides me holding a NJ licence? I can not afford my licence since I do not have transportaion to my work and is 50 miles to work from home. I greatly appreciate your advice.

P.S. This would be my first and last DUI. People please do not drive while you drink.

Thanks for your time,
Garland

unerstood

my husband was marine in california.soon after he got out he wanted to see if he could make it on his own and got a dui and lost his job very soon after and didnot complete his sentence. it is now 7 years later and he wants to take care of this. he got a license in ohio but this was about 6 years ago. I am not sure how. Maybe you should not mention to nj about the california situation, regardless, hire an attorney to go to court for you pay them monthly and take of this now and maybe ca will let you complete something in you're state.better to come forward on your own and sooner than later. this will always follow you GOODLUCK!!!
