What is the name of your state? California Just wondering if a first offense Dui Charge will greatly affect future employment.

the two that come to mind are

hummm

President George W Bush 1 DUI at age 31

and

Vice President Dick Cheney 2 in his early 20's

wonder how they got sercutry clearance..:p

It could have very serious implications on any jobs that involve driving, for obvious reasons. It's also likely to haunt you on any job that involves working with kids or even the elderly.

Other than that, I wouldn't expect it to cause you too much trouble, especially once you put a little time between yourself and the arrest. Of course there are no guarantees since in most cases, employers can hire you or not based on the direction of the wind that day...
