I got a dui 09/06. My license were revoked for a minimum of one year. On 12/05/07 my year was up..but..guess I have to go to a formal hearing. Does anyone know anything about that. I've heard lots of scary things about the hearing board. Everyone I talk to say I need to hire a lawyer to take with me because the state will have one. Is this true?
Help!

Googling for illinois license reinstatement yields this:

http://www.harvatinlaw.com/lawyer-attorney-1137665.html

It pretty nicely explains how to do it and what goes on during the hearings based on your circumstances.
