I was driving on a single lane road and i saw a police car closing the road and the cars were being towed. There were two cars in front of me and the first car went to the opposite direction lane and crossed the scene and the next SUV followed him, i was the next person and the cars behind me were honking as there was no other way but drive the opp lane and cross the scene (this happens almost every day on this street due to accidnet, muncipal work,...). I slowly started my car and there was absolutely no vehicle in the opposite direction, but the cop stood in front of my car and asked me to pullover, and he asked for my license, insurance and registration and went to his car and came back with a ticket. While this was happening around 25 vehicles did the same thing - "drive on the opposite lane to cross the scene". The officer returned with the ticket (4-81 faliure to observe signal) and he asked me if i am guilty for driving the the opposite direction, i said - "i am sorry officer, but the lane was closed and there was no traffic on the opposite direction". He explained me the details of my tikcet. I have the court appearnace on April 13th - i feel it was not fair to give me the ticket for this reason. Any tips to avoid this 2 points.
