Angry

got a leetr today fom the state of colorado

What is the name of your state?wa
THIS IT WAS IT SAYS
ORDER OF SUSPENSION
THE DEPARTMENT HAS RECIEVED INFORMATION INDICATING THAT YOUR FUTURE PROOF OF FINANACIAL RESPONSIBILITY(SR-22)HAS BEEN CANCELED
A NEW SR-22 MUST BE RECIEVED BY THIS DEPARTMENT ON OR BEFORE THE EFECTIVE DATE .
IF WE DO NOT RECIEVE A NEW SR-22 BY THE ABOVE DATE ,IN CONFOEMITY WITH 42-7-420CRS ,YOUR PRILEGE TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE IN THIS STATE IS HEREBY SUSPENDED INDEFINITLEY.
HERS IS MY QUESTION .I PAID THE MONEY FOR A CLEARANCE LETTER ,AND NOW DO HAVE A LICENSE HERE IN WASHINGTON.I ALSO HAD TO SEND A LETTER SAYING THAT I LIVE IN WASHINGTON AND DO NOT DRIVE IN COLORADO ,SO WHY ARE THEY SENDING ME THIS ,AND HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO KEEP AN SR-22?THANK YOU ,THIS IS STRESSING ME OUT

Get your insurance company to send them the compliance info which will show, among other things, that you have valid liability insurance. That will relieve your stress.

Theres different rules for how long an SR-22 has to be filed for different offenses.Call the DMV in Denver and ask.Dont let this just go cus itll steamroll if you get pulled over for driving on a suspended license.WA will have your butt then too in a ringer.

Your license was reinstated because of the filing of an SR-22 and you need to find out how long that filing is required and what itll take to clear it.
