Got my DUI charges from last monthWhat is the name of your state? Pennsylvania Ok, i just got my charges for my DUI..... 1.) 3802(a)(1) 2.) 3802(e) 3.)Stop Signs .... i believe this is 3323(b) I have an attorney thought havent spoken with him yet and the hearing i guess it is is in about two weeks. What should i expect him to do for me, would they remove the lesser charges, things like that..... I haven't driven a car now consumed any alcohol at all since the incident over a month ago, so im not one of those stupid people you guys always tear apart for not learning their lesson and such. Just some info would be great, Thanks |

| Three or four days left to talk with the arrotnety....Keep calling him but he never returns my calls cus he is too busy or something like that. I figure he shouldn't be too busy cus hes getting 3000 of a college kid's money to represent me. I'm gonna keep hassling him and such. What do you think the prosecution will try to pin on me and is there a way to like drop one of the dui charges or will i get nailed with two of them and such? Thanks |

| Most likely you will be offered ARD (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) in return to a plea of guilty to DUI. This is assuming you qualify (no prior DUI convictions, DL and vehicle were all legit, etc). The plea will be to one of the DUI sections. The stop sign violation will be withdrawn if you accept the plea agreement. ARD allows you to avoid jail time. You will have to serve a probationary period, pay fines and costs, and attend drug and aclohol counseling. As long as you successfully complete all facets of the ARD program, you can petition the court to have the offense expunged from your record. If you choose to take a hearing and then take the case to trial, you will face all the charges and will serve jail time if convicted.
