What is the name of your state? NJ

I have a question regarding how NJ treats out of state dwi's. If you have a dwi conviction in NJ and are convicted again a few years later in another state like NY and NY treats it as a first offense instead of a second how does NJ treat it when they get notified of the conviction?? A first offense dwi in NY carries a 6 month suspension but would NJ suspend only for 6 months or 2 years since it is technically a second offense??
