help first csi alchol evauation in 2 daysWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois-Cook county I'm a 40 year old female with a perfectly clean driving record and employed with the same company for 20 years. I recently received my first DUI for not blowing into a breathalyzer. I didn't understand the ramifications of that until now. I need to take my evaluation test in 2 days and I don't know what to expect. I do not know if I should tell the evaluator that I found out the day I got the DUI I my husband told me wants a divorce. I want to be truthful because I do not drink often but I don't know if revealing this information will be beneficial or detrimental to my final evaluation. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. | Just tell the truth and accept the consequences. This evaluation is not going to affect your court case. You may expect to fill out a lengthy form first, then meet with an evaluator. If they determine that you need further alcohol counseling, they are probably right. This is about helping you, not working up a case against you. (c) BigMistakeFl |

| leave the BUD jacket at home. they will ask many questions alot of them the same worded differnt. they are looking for deception. ex: have you ever been upset at another driver on the hiway? a no answer is for sure a lie. 2. has alcohol ever caused a problem in your life? well yes your taking an evaluation after a dui to some degree the more you tell them the more they mess with you, but if they think you are lying its worse. this evaluation determines the level of satop you recieve. they also make recomendations to the court which they and the probation office will use. be sure not to sound angry or make any threats saying you want to kill the scumbag will cause you more problems. i think telling them would be okay. they will teach you in satop that there is not a bad situation anywhere that drinking can't make worse. but i guess you already know that. goodluck |

| I have conducted some of these evaluations. The questionaire is, as Thomas stated above, long and may appear redundant. Yes, they are looking for inconsistencies. During the interview, I can tell you that an open and honest, remorseful person will come across better. It's the one who sits with arms crossed acting put out, inconvenienced and secretive who gets the closer inspection. In my state, these interviews are usually carried out in the probation office, but not by probation officers or clerks. The interviews are usually conducted by social workers.
