How do lawyers/attorney get information about dui so fast?

What is the name of your state? CA

I was just curious as to how attorneys and lawyers received information that i got a dui so fast. I was arrested on a saturday night/sunday morning around 2:00 am and started receiving letters from lawyers as early as Monday and Tuesday. What gives? Thanks in advance.

Police Blotter.. the arrest is public info.

In small towns the arrests get faxed to News papers and Radio stations ect.

In many counties there are services that an attorney can sign up with. They receive the list of people arrested that day and they ship out each attorney's letter to that person's address the same day they are arrested. The attorney doesn't have to do anything, the company does it all.

Around here about a decade ago, the police blotter went form something you had to go down to the court house to get to something you can just retrieve over the internet. You can't even get any sort of moving violation around here without getting a half a dozen letters from various lawyers offering to help you beat it.
