How does CA. expungement help?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Calif.

Could someone provide information on some of the benefits for a DUI expungement, it appears you still have a record, with just a line listing below it saying "not guilty". It seems if any employer, see/finds the record you are still toast.

How do these Reporting Agencies work with this information?
On earlier posts CDWJava had some interesting comments, are you out there?

How visible would a 14yr old DUI convinction be from a small isolated CA county be? The dmv purges after 10 yrs correct (maybe 7yrs from the
date of the original incident.

Any decent dialog would be appreciated
