How important to have a DUI specialized lawyer?

What is the name of your state? ===> California

How important is it to obtain a good and specialized (like NCDD Board certified) (and likely more expensive) lawyer as opposed to any criminal who take DUI cases? I don't know my B.A.C. level (blood test done) and I still need to have a hearing with DMV, so I think I definitely need a lawyer.

Any advice would be appreciated.
