How long? What is the name of your state? PA Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew about how long it takes to get something in the mail following a DUI. It's been about 2 weeks and I have not a clue what's gonna happen cause I've never been in trouble with anything at all before. That night the guy took me home and told me to make sure I never did this again, but I'm pretty sure they can't just let you off for a DUI. Anyways it's been like 2 weeks and I was just wondering how long it would normally take if anyone knows.. Have a nice day. |

...I was told by other people who have got DUI's and things like that that they got something in the mail like a week later, but then again they had all been taken down to the station. The night I got pulled over for DUI the guy gave me a breathalizer and took me to the hospital to get a blood test then took me home, so I have no clue if I'm going to get charged with it or not. I'd assume I would, but I have yet to get anything in the mail about it and its been about 2 weeks. I'm rather clueless about the whole thing if it isn't apparent. |

| Call the DA in charge of the jurisdiction where the dwi occured. They wont arrest you over the phone. Or call your lawyer. |

thanksYeah I think I'm just going to try to be patient and wait for them to contact me if they are going to. I also don't have a lawyer.. I'm a 19 yr old college student who's never needed one, so I don't really want to contact one unless it's absolutely necessary. Anyways, thanks for the advice I appreciate it. |
