Illinois: 1st DUI, need advice and info

What is the name of your state? Illinois

Hi. I was pulled over on 12/23 for speeding. I was asked to step out of vehicle and after a brief field test, arrested. I refuesd the breathalizer.

I need a lawyer ASAP so if anyone can recommend, please do. I am dealing with the city of Berwyn, IL

Was refusing the breathalizer good or bad idea? I wasn't failiar enough with the penalties for refusing so I went with my instinct.

I received multiple tickets. Is this normal? Does it realliy just come down to the big one?: dui, speeding, lane usage, seat belt, no valid licence (exp on birthday: 10/28/05)

TIA

With the refusal you likely face an automatic suspension regardless of the criminal outcome. Plus, it kinda makes it tough to prove you were NOT intoxicated as now the state has the testimony of the officer for proof of inebriation and you have nothing.

Contact an attorney ASAP.
