Insurance after DUI

I am in CO and got a DUI 2 years ago. This was my first DUI as well as first traffic or any type of violation. I basically was thrown under the bus by the judge...I blew a .201 - had stood up in my best friend's wedding and it was a really small resort town - no cabs available. Didn't hit anything - they said I was weaving, but they were watching people leave and at the time I had out of state plates too because I had just moved to CO. Long story short - how long do I have to wait normally in the state of CO to not be totally screwed for insurance? I need to get a new car, as of now, I just have liability. If I get a new car I will need full coverage and I'm afraid my rates will sky rocket!! I've been with the same insurance company (AIG) since I got my DUI.

Thanks for the help! What is the name of your state? CO

Most ins. companies will increase a premium for 3 years after an at fault acc. or a driving violation. You need to shop around & see what rates you get offered.
