You should tell the DMV that the Law does not apply to you.

You would have to research this further, but interlock can apply in many cases as part of the business, or hardship license process. This guarentees that you will not be able to drive after drinking. I've never heard of anyone getting this part of the penalties removed.

You should be aware that the interlock can affect your ability to drive after drinking even the next day. If you go out, tie one one and do the responsible thing by calling a cab, you may still not be able to start your vehicle the next morning.
