On the 21'st I got an MUI, I am 17 at the moment, This would be the first time I got in trouble, I'm just trying to find out what's going to happen, I dont know what kind of trouble im going to get into or what im going to have to do. I blew a .148 and have no idea if that's alot, But if someone could tell me whats going to happen, and by the way, I didnt think the cops were allowed to open the door and search the house without asking and put me in handcuffs without a problem going on other than asking me my age, than he put the cuffs on me, I also had 7 people over but the reason they came was because of loud music. at 3 AM.. They were also very strict with me and slammed my head into the door next to the front door because I asked if I could use the restroom.

Well, seeing that the legal limit for a 17 year old is zero and that for those who can legally drink it's .08, yeah, I'd say .148 is a lot.

Punishment For Minor or Underage Alcohol Possession

Upon 1st Conviction:

Any person who is convicted of violating Georgia Code Section 3-3-23(a)(2) shall, upon first conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by not more than six months’ imprisonment or a fine of not more than $300.00, or both. You're also looking at community service and probably alcohol education classes. On top of that, your parents may be in a whole lot of trouble for failing to properly supervise you and allowing a party in their home where you were able to provide alcoholic beverages to other underage persons.

If I were your parent, you'd be grounded until you turned 18 and I'd be hiring a babysitter to supervise you if I couldn't be there to watch you myself 24/7.

I see your point but at the same time, the legal limit for a 17 year old is zero no matter how you slice it.
