NC Statute of Limitations

What is the name of your state? NC

What is the statute of limitations of DUI cases in NC? My friend was arrested for DUI twice in NC and pled guilty in one, and never appeared in the other.

It does not apply. This is only applicable towards date of crime and date of arrest. Once a person is charged the statute of limitations stops. He/She can disapear for 20 years and thier will still be an arrest warrant. But he now has bigger problems since he commited a more serious crime by not appearing in court. Misdermeaner failure to appear usually carries a one year sentence. Then another problem is motor vehicle, he will most likely be hit with another suspension when he pleads guilty to the dwi. Best to face up to it, get it over with, and move on with life.
