Why are you not guilty after pleading guilty? Explain what happened, please.

that's odd, i too am from San Diego and wish to "re-open" my case of 3 years ago for a 2nd DUI conviction - why?? because i didn't have the right lawyer or knowledge at the time and i too was asked to plead guilty, although i have a good case against that... i was informed that since i pled guitly, i can't go back and plead not guilty... which sounds weird to me, is that true? b/c - in many cases, you hire the wrong lawyer or in your case, a public defender that isn't going to do very much to help you... now that you have become more aware of your case and circumstances, it is worth it to re-evaluate your case with an effective lawyer, right? - i wish this were true, because i am in the same boat as you, Border....

g'luck.... i would definitely hire a good attorney to help you in any future decisions regarding Court

MY Case

The reason I wanted to open my case is because I was stopped on the Tijuana side of the border approaching USA. The Public defender told me I was in the USA because the border starts from where the pedisterian bridge is, which is approximetly 500 ft from the custom agents booth. FYI, USA actually starts Approx 250 ft from where the custom agents are in their booth asking you your citizenship status (yellow Line). After going back to Tijuana and examining I realized that I was actuall in mexico when this officker stopped me. I was about 10 feet from the border line inside mexico. So he had no jurisdiction in mexico. So I pled Guilty not knowing this and now I want to open my case because of this evidence.
