Old DUI charge and getting into Canada

What is the name of your state? PA

I have an old DUI charge from 19 or 20 years ago.I was accepted into the ARD program.I wanted to know if I can get into Canada with this on my record or if it is not on my record anymore.I was told it will not show up at the border crossing. I don't know what data base they use to check for this.I want to go there for vacation and don't want any surprises.

It's all good.

You won't have any problems. I used to live 30 miles from Canada and used to cross the border all the time. They may look at your DL but most likely won't. They don't routinely run checks. If they do, they'll look for warrants, not old DUI's that are resolved. Crossing the border into Canada is like going through a toll booth in New Jersey. Not a big deal, but sometimes the lines are long. I will say that coming back into the US is usually a little more strict. They'll just ask a few more questions. I wouldn't worry.

What state are you crossing into Canada from?
