Operating a Vehicle after Underage Consumption - PLEASE HELP... What is the name of your state? Ohio
Last night I decided to be slightly ignorant and went to pick up a friend across town in Hamilton, Ohio. I had had 2 beers and I bumped into a parked vehicle, which happened to be the vehicle of the ex District-Attorney in Hamilton. My BAC was 0.043 and the legal limit in Ohio is 0.1 for 21+ to be legally drunk. Under 21 is considered, Operating a Motor Vehicle after underage consumption and the BAC for that is more than 0.02 but not exceeding 0.1. I really need to get back and forth to work and I need to know if I'll be given driving priveledges to get back and forth to work during my arraignment this coming Friday (July 19th, 02). If anyone can help me or give me any advice on this matter it would be greatly appreciated. Also, my vehicle, obviously, was impounded and my license placed on administrative suspension, I do carry insurance on the vehicle, but it isn't in my name, it's in my uncles name, the vehicle on my policy is not mobile at this point and I carry an SR22, will my insurance company have to cover the damage to my uncles vehicle or am I liable? I realize any information given here is "heresay" but I really need just an oppinion of what I'm up against, so as I'm prepared for my arraignment this week. Thank you very much fo ryou help, it's greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jason |
